OSRS Boss pet and Spawn Rates update

07/23/2014

Here is some interesting news of 2007 OSRS. The Developers have brought cute boss pet and standardized Spawn rates this week.

When you fight at God Wars, for example trying hard to kill Kree'arra, have you ever thought of having a tiny version of the beast as your pet and make it follow wherever you go? It’s coming true this week! Below is a list of boss monsters that can drop little pets:

K'ril Tsutsaroth

General Graardor

Kree'arra

Kraken

Zilyana

Giant mole

Dagannoth prime

Dagannoth rex

Dagannoth supreme

Thermonuclear smoke devil

King black dragon

Kalphite queen

These lovely tiny beasts can be obtained from drops of respective Boss monsters but their drop rate is extremely low, which means you have to spend tons of time killing your favorite monster in order to get the little companion. It takes incredible luck to have them, so when you hang around with them, people will be so jealous! Go and take out a monster boss of your choice, maybe you will be the first one to get hands on a lovely little boss!

Another important news this week for Old school Runescape is Standardized spawn rates. Everything in all OSRS worlds will be having the same spawn rates from now on. Before this update the re-spawn rate of resources and monsters in OSRS worlds is based on the number players online. The resources or monsters would re-spawn faster if there were more players online. This was actually not very reasonable and the community has already reached agreement on that. Now the developers have standardized the resources and monsters spawn rate throughout all OSRS worlds. The number of players online has no influence any more.

But there are exceptions. The Dagannoth Kings spawn rates remain the same so that killing the bosses will not be impacted. Besides the God Wars bosses already have a standardized spawn rate of every 90 seconds, the players still can kill them at a reasonable rate alone or by teams.
