In RS world money-making skills are important at all time (of course in real world too). The tricks we introduce might not 100% suit you. It really depends on your own game situation: level, equipment, gold reserve etc. Let us start with money-making tips in Combat.
If your level is high enough, you can afford certain monsters which produce high value drops. Here are some good monster recommendations for F2Per, worth your killing: Lesser Demons (level 82), Moss Giants (level 42), and Hill Giants (level 28). They drop the finest F2P bones limpwurt roots, which are used by members to train Herblore. Member players should target Slayer monsters and Dragons because they are more profitable, while low level players couldn't access those monsters can pick up Chaos Druids as target since they have produce higher money and drop some herbs. The problem is these monsters are usually rare and appearing in small areas. This makes them very hard to get hand on. You have to watch out the Kill-Stealers, who robber the monster you are waiting to spawn and force you out of your position.
As to P2Per, money-making through combat is much more productive and efficient, surely through many other skills as well. In P2P combat, you will have bonus drop ‘Clue Scroll’, which is big advantage to F2Pers. Those ‘Clue Scrolls’ are like treasure maps that lead you to a considerable prize. All you have to do is be patient and follow it step by step until completing every miniquest. Level 3 Clues are most profitable but also most challenging. Remember only one Clue Sroll at one time.
