How to use Fairy Rings in OSRS

05/28/2014

Fairy Rings are one of the most convenient methods of transportation, next to lodestones, for OSRS. You have to unlock the codes first for them to show up in your travel log the next time you activate the ring. This guide will explain how to access the rings and how to use them.

In order to access the Fairy Rings, you must have completed a certain part of A Fairy Tale Part II: Cure a Queen. If you have not been granted permission during the quest to use the rings, you cannot use them. You should know that as long as you have completed A Fairy Tale Part I: Growning Pains, you can still start Part II and gain access to the Fairy Rings without completing all of Part II. You don't need 57 herblore or 49 farming to use the rings.

In order for any Fairy Rings to work, you will need to be wielding a Dramen Staff or Lunar Staff in your hand when you click on the ring. The "home" ring in Zanaris is the only ring that allows you to input any codes. All other rings will simply take you back to Zanaris once you enter them. Any codes that require a quest have the quest listed. Upon Completion of Fairy Tales Part III: Orks Rift, you no longer need to be wielding a Dramen or Lunar Staff to activate any ring. You must input the codes the first time you want to go to a particular destination then it will be in your travel log the next time you activate the Zanaris ring.

After a code has been entered into your travel log simply click the destination in your log, you no longer need to input each letter, then click the "teleport to this location' under the code to teleport.
