Solve The Runescape Potion Problems

10/23/2015

The online games always have some in-game problems due to some wrong or temporary issues. Recently, RS Gold potions can be quite a hassle due to multiple doses. It is quite a hard time for players. How to solve the annoying problem? We have some solutions.

Stack doses of the same type of potions in a single inventory or bank slot. This results in far fewer bank slots used for those who bank potions at all dosage levels, and less cleanup time for those of us that make new potions to balance the dosage back up to 4.

It also prevents waste for those players that simply drop the off-dose potions to avoid bank clutter. Additionally, it saves inventory clutter, saves time dropping empty potions, avoids accidentally clicking a new potion instead of a partially used one, and consolidates the clicking area for a specific potion type to single inventory space.

To address balance issues, potions could be limited to a maximum stack quantity per inventory space, and additionally limited to one inventory space per potion type. The total number of stacked doses allowed in a player's inventory at one time, regardless of type, could also be limited to replicate the current inventory system capping potion doses at 6x28 or not, if this was used as an opportunity to adjust those somewhat artificial limitations. In either case, balancing this functionality is certainly possible.

Other potential issues might include preventing the obsoletion of current potion vessels-vials, flasks and crystal flasks. There are a few ways to do this, such as allowing potions in certain vessels to increase the maximum dosage of an inventory stack, or transferring the benefits to the potion creation side of the equation.

Such concerns exceed the scope of this proposal, but can be addressed in more detail on the corresponding forum thread. Feel free to post any suggestion or criticism to help improve the game.
